What is purpose of .dtc folder in NWDS

Hello,

In NWDS -> Windows -> Preferences -> Java Development Infrastructure.... I am able to see a value :

C:/Users/saurabh.agarwal/.dtc

When I opened this folder...to my surprise I observed that the projects I created in NWDS also exist in this folder...!!

The workspace that I am using is :

C:\Users\saurabh.agarwal\Desktop\New folder

So the project that I created in NWDS exist in 2 places...1 is in my workspace and second is in this DTC folder.

What is significance of DTC folder....considering that I do not use NWDI....and deploy my application to some remote J2EE server....

.dtc folder contains all the Development components that you create using NWDI. Your Project workspace will contain only non DC projects.

But in my case I do not have NWDI..

But still when I create a local DC in NWDS...a folder for same is created in .dtc directory.....

still I am not able to understand wh there is this .dtc folder.......

Local DC also goes in .dtc folder, not in the workspace folder.
