RFC LOOKUP..SALERT_CREATE Issue

Hi..

I am using RFC lookup (SALERT_CREATE) in graphical mapping to generate field specific alert,All the container variables are defined in alert category and exactly same name is given an RFC import parameter in Graphical mapping (IP_CAT).

I can see generated alerts in alert_inbox but nothing is populated in container variables.. like sender system..sender interface, namespace.. although everything is defined in alert category container.

Please suggest.

These values should be populated from the UDF (IT_CONTAINER)....is it happening in your case?

UDF means the lookup function.

Yes I am passing value throught IT_CONTAINER.. but nothing is there in alert...

Can you explain us how you create your corresponding RFC msg (maybe a payload sample would help also) ?

I hope you created alert category which should be mentioned in your UDF

You need to define the containers and their repective ABAP dictionary data type in alert catergory what you defined in ALRTCATDEF.
