Different Package material for in Sales Order

Hi all

Im currently having some issue with a requirement.

Currently the customer issue a sales order for a product to a customer.

However for that product there could be many different type of Instruction Manuals for different region.

IE. this customer orders Product A but will ship it to US / EURO / ASIA hence the manual needs to be different.

Is there a way to handle this issue without creating a different material ID ? As the production needs to know at the shopfloor which manual to pack. ( the instruction manual is in the BOM )

Hi,

U can use Text Determination functionality for the special instruction with order which can flow from SO to Delivery .

As your method will only transfer to the Delivery,

Is there a way for the information from Sales Order to flow to Production Order ( MTO ) so the production will know what manual to pack in during production? or if they need to change the BOM.

Hey,

You can configure SIS (Sales Information Systems) for the information of open order and other details.

Sales order can be linked to MRP and production order through SIS.

Let me know if u require the steps involved in SIS config.
