Hi All,

I created notification with Q2.

Entered in item Tab,overview,cause,task after that in action box(Request 8D Report).

But in print privew only defect description is showing rest of the colum like-3.defect cause,4-short term soln,5-long term soln,6-identification of delivery,7-check status of correction.8-comment.all this is blank.

Please help me to get 8D report,

Hi,

In Customization Please check the following:

QCC0->Quality Notification>Noti Processing->Additional Noti funct>Define Functions for the Action Box-select notification Q2>click on activity>doble click on Request 8D Report-->check "QM06_FM_TASK_REQUEST_8DREPORT" fuction module exists or not.

Also in same tab-->coding generated task/activity check CODE: 0017 & also maintain code group.

You should maintain all the information in notification and then only you will get that information in 8D report.

defect causes: go to QM02 >> enter notification no. >> go to item tab and then causes tab there you will find field called 'cause code text' if you maintain cause (in causes QS41) 8D will capture that.

go to QM02 >> enter notification no. >> go to item tab and correction task tab >>

there you put sr no. 4,5,6,7 & 8

You have to define these tasks in QS41 catalog type 'T' Task (QM), then put details in task long test.

Identification of delivered material : Go to notification >> Item tab >> Correction tasks >>

maintain No (sr) 6 ( number from 8d report) and whatever you maintain in 'task code text'

and task long test will come in 8D report.

Check Success of corrective task : Go to notification >> Item tab >> Correction tasks >>

maintain No (sr) 7 ( number from 8d report) and whatever you maintain in 'task code text'

and task long test will come in 8D report

Comments : Go to notification >> Item tab >> Correction tasks >>

maintain No (sr) 8 ( number form 8d report) and whatever you maintain in 'task code text'

and task long test will come in 8D report.
