Drivers required for AIX

Hi Experts,

I have few queries

1. Is Jdbc drivers should be deployed on my PI server to connect PI to Oracle 11G data base if server is on AIX operating system?My basis consultants are saying that For AIX operating system we need not deploy any drivers PI will directlu connect to data base but it really works?

2.By default when PI server is installed integartion server is configured to 001 client.Is client copy 100 is really required we can not continue with 001 only?

If client copy for example 100 is made then we should chamge our integartion Server to client 100 in SXMB_ADM (in Integartion engine configuration)?

In 100 client i have made proxy prerequistes end to end scenario is working but when i test in RWB in Integartion engine TEST tab if am putting payload it is not reaching to target it is throwing error ABAP proxy not activated.In this case in client 100 IN SXMB_ADM in integartion engine configuration role of business is (Noy yet configured).It is configured in 001 client

Please help i am really stuck at these issues

Praveen, both your queries are quite unrelated. Therefore next time on wards, please post separate threads for separate queries.

1. I think that the driver has to be deployed, however, I am not very sure how AIX server should affect this. You may run a simple test to send test message to the database. If you receive error similar to "SAPClassNotFoundException", this would mean that the drivers should be deployed.

Technically it is possible to use 001 as well. But this is standard client and SAP recommends client copy. Therefore I would too recommend using a new client.

Yes, use client 100 as Integration server.

What are the sender and receiver for this proxy communication? I guess the error is related to Integration Engine URL.

As said by you i asked my basis guys to create client copy but they are telling there wont any difference if we continue with 001 also.Is there any particular importance for client copy any advantages if we use client copy.If continue with 001 any chances for problem arising please let me know.

My basis has fixed the issue by changing some configuration to PIRWB User .
