Hi All,

Our SAP system ( EX1, EX2) communicates with two external systems ( EX1 and EX2 ) via XI through Idocs.

We need to change the communication medium. Now it should communicate via PI. However we are not sure where to make the changes. There is also a confusion as to which team should perform this activity.

Some have advised that changes have to be done in Distribution Model and Output type, but nobody is sure about it.

Can anybody please help us and let us know the step by step procedure for this.

Please let us know if you need any more information on this.

Thanks & Regards,

Himanshu Bhusan Sahoo.

Hi,

As far as I know, PI is a new name of XI. XI was version 3.0 and version 7.0 is PI similar SAP R/3 4.7 to ECC6.0.

Can you tell us what is the current version of XI and what version are you migrating to?

Is it an upgrade of SAP system also or just XI version?

Regards

RS.

Hi,

The outbound idoc is being triggered by the output type here in our system. Now the Logical system defined in the output condition record is OIQCLNT100, however the output type is in error status and following is the error.

Recipient LS LS_EXQ100 LS not permissible for this IDoc

Message no. B1120

Diagnosis

An intermediate document was constructed from the application transaction and passed to the ALE layer. The message type of the intermediate document was ZSDCONTRACT_SSP and the recipient is defined by the combination of partner type LS, partner number LS_EXQ100 and the partner function LS.

The ALE layer has established that this recipient is not permissible for this IDOC.

The reason for this may be either that no message flow has been defined in the ALE distribution model for this recipient or that all the segments in the IDOC have been filtered out because of the settings in the ALE distribution model and the segment filter.

Procedure

Check the following settings for the above-mentioned message type and recipient:

- Is the IDOC addressed to the correct recipient?

- Are the message flow and the filter objects correctly defined in the ALE distribution model?

- Is the Customizing of the calling application maintained consistently with the ALE distribution model?

- Are the settings in the segment filter correct?

- Is the IDOC type of the recipient correctly specified in the outbound partner protocol?

The error is referring to another system that is being used right now. We want it to pass thru OIQCLNT100 and not LS_EXQ100.

Please help.

Thanks & Regards,

Himanshu Bhusan.

Hi Himanshu,

I had the same error message. I could view in SM37 due to failed jobs. The reason was basically that in our case no data was fetched, but anyway the system tried to create an IDOC an transfer it to the PI.

We've changed the variant for the job so that data is available for transfer, afterwards the error disappeared.

I hope it helps also for your case.

Regards Timmy.
