somebody of you has made some experience with the progress tracking for network (NTWXPD) already?
For all of you that would like to answer to this with the note to read the sap help. I already did.
We would like to use the progress tracking to define a interface between the project design and the production. The production has to preassemble and produce/buy parts. To do this they need drawings. Due to long lead items and short lead items or stock items they need the drawings in different time periods. To build up this scenario we primarily would use network activities. But this would lead to a huge amount of activities. So, if progress tracking would offer good functionalities (of course with additional programming) we could use the progress tracking functionality.
Here a more detailed question:
- Would it be possible to add columns to the events in the progress tracking in order to calculate a date from the activity? Ex. Activity starts on 22.08.11 with an event with an user specific column "offset" with the value 10. Now a BADI calculates the planned date and adds 10 days to 22.08. If this would be possible we could probably use events instead of network activities. - Where are the limits of this functionality?
