MDS/MDSS Server configuration issue - Immediate Help Required !

Hello

Verision: SAP MDM 7.1.05.106

Repository: Material

Issue: Outbound Port Configuration Parameter "Processing Type" Change

Description:

Defined an outbound port BOMMAT03_Out to syndication an XML file from SAP MDM to SAP ECC. Processing Type parameter of the outbound port was changed from Continuous to Hourly and again back to Continuous.

This change triggered a shutdown of SAP MDSS server and also unable to connect the repository anymore,

Below error details from MDS server log

"Service 'GQ3', Schema 'system', ERROR CODE=12154 ||| ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified"

"Service 'GQ3', Schema 'system', ERROR CODE=12528 ||| ORA-12528: TNS:listener: all appropriate instances are blocking new connections "

Below error details from MDS server log

Server is listening on port 59850.

Start monitoring MDS repositories

Per-server task created, MDS Host =

MDS host name has changed

Per-server task created, MDS Host = amdtbh0

Per-server task is going away, MDS Host =

But the Oracle database is fine and running well. Unable to understand of the Outbound configuration was impacted by any exisiting configuration settings.

Appreciate if anyone can provide you immediate response.

Thank you all who posted your response.

We have resolved the issue after opening an OSS with SAP

ISSUE: The user id which is defined in DBMS settings expire in ORCL though defined as unlimited. SAP has an OSS for ORCL 11i but failed to inform of this being valid for ORCL 10g as well.

Restart MDM Server & MDM Syndication server. If both server's are up and running as expected then you should not see the issue anymore.

If it fails to start, then check with the network admin team about the host name change. The issue is not related to the syndication map/port property changes.

Pleas note that its saying MDS host name has changed. Please check your HOST and PORT details are correct.
