How to return multiple rows from a popup iVew?

Hi,

I am trying to retrieve data from popup iView.

I tried the bank example posted in help.sap.com, which worked fine.

However I have a requirement to select multiple rows of data on the popup iView and populate the parent iView with that data.

That is not working. I could retrieve one row at a time without any problem from popup iView.

Could any one tell me if it is possible, if so how?

I have both Sneakpreview sp7 and EP7 SP8 versions installed.

Thanks in advance.

Try using a data store element. The value help with multiple selection creates such a model that you can look into and use as modeling example.

Mario,

Could you elaborate on your answer. I am also trying to get multiple rows of data from a popup and populate a table.

Appreciate your quick response..

thanks,

Use the value help wizard, and then look at the model that is generated.

If you have a query that support multiple values (e.g. a BI query with a multiselect variable), then you see the generated model that does use the datastore, popup etc. and does exactly what you need.

Hi Mario,

Thanks for your reply, we did figure out how to do a multi select. But the problem that we are having right now is that the very first value of the multi select does not get transferred to the previous iview(table).

Any ideas why?

thanks again
