Systemcopy issue for Netweaver 7.02 on SQL server 2008

Hi colleagues,

we do a system copy for ECC6.0 ehp5 DBexport, based on Netweaver 7.0 ehp2.

system: windows server 2003R2 + MS SQL server 2008R2, everything seems ok until "import ABAP" stage, every import is failed!

I do find some notes : 1339717 and 1480785, talk about update Kernel, but after I update kernel, also change the SQLfiles.lst, the issue still the same.

this DBexport can install successfully on MaxDB database. is there anyone performe System copy successfully on Netweaver 7.0 ehp2 on SQL server 2008? what kind of update need to be done?

update kernel to latest version, so it can use SQL server compression tech.

HI Markus,

I got a new kernel and installation master from support team and install this DBexport successfully in windows2003 + SQL server 2008R2. the disk space is much less compare with MaxDB version.

thanks for the reply. I follow your guide to download R3load (R3load_91-10007271.SAR) and related dll (lib_dbsl_98-10007271.sar) and replace the old version under folder: 51041254_13\BS7i2010_Installation_Master\IM_WINDOWS_X86_64\MSS\UC, but the installation still facing the same issues.

do you know if there any other component I should update?

put them in \usr\sap\<SID>\SYS\exe\uc

and also check the logfiles I mentioned.

Please check those logfiles.

This happens, because the installation wants to use compression (which will save a lot of space but the R3load you use doesn't know about that.

Use the latest R3load and libdbmss.dll (download from the SMP).

It would be VERY helpful if you would check the logfiles and post relevant parts here to actually see, why the import is failing.
