SAPGUI UML viewer (JNET) on 64bit

Hi,

I used the Jnet based UML class diagram on my SAPGUI Windows installation under 32bit Windows. It worked fine.

Meanwhile I had an OS upgrade to Windows 7 64 bit.

Now the UML class diagram doesn't work anymore.

I reinstalled my SAPGUI, now I have both Java VM both 32bit and 64 bit installed.

SAPGUI version 7.20 patch 7.

I have the SAPnetz.OCX file under ...SAP\FrontEnd\SAPgui.

When I start the viewer I don't get any message about missing Jnet isntallation, however the UML diagram is not shown.

Any idea if it's possible to have this viewer under 64 bit?

Thanks,

Peter

Hi Peter,

Yes, it is possible to view the JNet UML Class Diagram (via SE80) in 64 bit OS.

I use the Windows 7 64 bit OS and I am able to render the JNet UML Class Diagram.

I  downloaded both the 32 bit and 64 bit JRE 6 from oracle.

I also installed the JNet objects via the SAP GUI installation.  I am on SAP GUI 730 Patch 2.

Regards,

Kim

Hi Kim,

Thanks for the info. I just checked now and it works ... no idea why. Probable it has some Java dependencies.

Now I have SAPGUI 7.30 patch 2 hotfix 2 and both Java 7.0.110 and Java 7.0.110 (64bit).

Peter
