Create Building: FO35 vs IL01

Hi

Could you please let me know the difference in creating a building using TCODE FO35 vs creating a functional location (building) using TCODE IL01.

Hello,

One is transaction for creating a building as a master record in Real Estate (FO35), while IL01 is for creating funcional locations in Plant Maintenance.

Objects from different components could be created in Plant Maintenance as address locations. If you use Plant Maintenance to manage different activities on your buildings, you could create relationship (integration) between the Building and the Functional Location,through assigning the FL to the relevant building.
