External UPC Numbers

Hello Gurus,

I am working on AFS Materials. In the additional data of the material master UPC numbers can be assigned at the grid level.

While I am trying to assign external Alpa numeric number system is not allowing.

How to enable external alpha numeric UPC numbers in the material master?

Please let me know.

Hello Naren,

Please review question 5 in note 545520 (FAQ: International Article Number (EAN/UPC)). It states you can use transaction W4ES to activate the 'Alphanume' indicator. Could you please check this to see if this resolves the issue?

I have checked the note 545520. I changed the settings, but still the same error is repeated.
