Hi

I would like to know whats the difference between Portal system Database and User Persistenec storage.

a)What data they store (roles, users and groups)

b)How are they different.

c)when we log into the portal with user name and password ,in which database is this validated.

Is it in System Poratl Database or User Persistence Storage

Regards

Manoj

Authentication is checked by the different LoginModules that have been configured in your WebAS. These all connect to their own storage and check there. By default the portal uses the authentication mechanism of the WebAS, which stores its users in its own database. The Portal uses the same database however, but as said, the portal itself does not handle authentication requests.
