deactivate inspection type from material master

Dears

i have a inspetion qty with satus LTCA CHCR(Cancelled inspection lot)

Now i need to deactivate inspection type from material master

system not allowing to deavtivate as inspection lot was there

how to remove the insepction qty form system

Any tips

Hi Faisal,

Try this way,,,

Run QA08

Enter the Plant, Material Code

Then go for the Fourth tab "Mass Processing"

Activate the check box for Activate Despite Inspection Stock and Create Change Documents

Then insert the inspection type.

Execute

System will prompt a screen similar to Inspection set up from MM02, there deactivate the inspection type and press Enter.

Select the Line item and Save.

Pls let me know if doesn't work.

Hi Faisal,

Pls go back to MM02 and check, it has already deactivated the Inspection type.

Kindly let me know what exactly you want to do, do you want to remove the stock as well. If yes, then Kindly remove the cancellation from the inspection lot.

Go for MBST and enter the Material document, system will cancel the lot automatically, demolish the stock.

Dear Faisal,

It will be of great help if you can please clarify whether the stock of material exists in quality inspection? Check this through MMBE.

Itu2019s not necessary the stock you observe in quality inspection belong to certain inspection lot always. Try to move the stock to unrestricted use by MB1B 321 movement. Then go to MM02 and deactivate inspection type.

Hi Faisal,

For any material first clear all stocks available in QI to unrestricted use, then deactivate all inspection types from insp setup and then also deactivate procurement key / certificate if activated. You can do all this in MM02 QM view. If you do this no lots will be generated further.

Else you have to reverse all GR of material code for which you want to deactivate inspection type.

Once it get revesed you can deactivate it.Then again do GR then your stock will get posted to unrestricted.

hi faisal,

You can delete any inspection type in QA08 if stock is there as it is not possible in MM02.

And if you want to move stock for this lot just do one thing do QA02, go to top left inspection lot, then function and reset cancelation, Now do UD of this lot and you can move stock where do you want.
