DMS Documents cannot be created

Hello DMS Gurus

I am working on DMS module.Previously on my P.C. , files which are attached in the DMS (Created From CV01N) can be opened easily ( PDF files,Excel, Word files).

But some time ago my P.C. was formatted & now I have installed WINDOWS 7 operating system.After this installation I am unable to open the documents which are attached in DMS.Every time it is giving the error that File C:\ DFIG.pdf cannot be created. or "C:\material.xls file cannot be created" when file is excel sheet.

I have already taken Read & Write access of C drive & also installed Document Imaging software. But still I am facing the same issue.

What could be the reason? Is there any other software installation required?

All right.In that case,could you share:

1.'Data Carrier' settings maintained in DC20?

2.Error message number,if any?

3.'Workstation Application' settings maintained in DC30 for excel?

4.SAP GUI version?

DC20 settings are as follows:

PC : Desktop with windows : Path: C:\

WL : WfW system / local applications Path: c:\temp\

Server & Files or Folder : Data Carrier: CAD (For PLM CAD Integration SAP Note 910973)

Data Carrier Type "External DMS" : ZDMS Type: ZD (For DMS External System)

DC30 Settings: XLS : Microsoft Excel Siffix: xls ArchID: * Start Aurhorization: Tick (i.e. Window selected) No Rename: Not Selected File Format: *.xls, .

SAP GUI version is : 7100.3.11.1042 i.e. 7.10

Starting with DC20 transaction, for 'Define data carrier type "server,front end"',could share the values maintained for 'Identify Front end Computers'?

As I am completely New for DMS so I am not aware much about DMS terminology.Could you please explain me in detail what is cause that files are not opening from /CV02n or /CV04N after installing WINDOWS 7 Operating system.

There are several posts discussing reasons for this behaviour/error.Did you try using the search utility in the DMS forum?
