Hi,

If a company moves from 4.7 to ECC 6.0, does classic RE remain active in ECC 6.0?

Can the user company opt to stay on Classic RE and not migrate to REFX?

Hi,

You can use classic RE in ECC6.0, but don't activate Real Estate Extension.

Once you activate this indicator, the transactions of classic RE no longer available and you can not access the data of classic RE.

you can refer notes 443311 & 828160.

Hi Srini,

Thanks for the reply.

I understand Classic and REFX are different products available from 4.7 onwards. I want to understand if the upgrade can face any issues, at the same time if it is an EHP5 level upgrade, will the RE enhancements flow to Classic RE as well?

FOr example Foreign currency contracts, RE search, Room reservation, will these be available in classic RE as well in ECC6.0?

Hi Veena,

you can continue using RE Classic after upgrade to ECC 6.05.

Please refer to note 443311 for more information on Classic RE maintenance

...

2. Classic Real Estate (old solution)

The availability and maintenance of classic Real Estate will end

with the general end of maintenance of SAP ERP 6.0.

Customers who are already using the old solution can still use

this, as previously mentioned, until the end of the general

maintenance of SAP ERP 6.0. By this time, the migration to

flexible Real Estate should have been completed, as SAP will no

longer maintain the old solution as of this time.

...

But RE Classic Real Estate is no longer released for new implementations...

Hope this helps!
