Missing Namespace

Hi forum,

I downloaded the XI Content from the Service Marketplace for SRM SERVER 7.0. I noticed that the Namespace http://sap.com/xi/ABA is missing in the SWCV SRM SERVER 7.0. Should I download again?

My XI is 7.1 with Sevrice Pack 11. However when I got to Software Download Centre in Market Place, I see only XI Content upto version SP10 XI Content for SRM SERVER 7.0.

If I download the XI Content for a different Service Pack, will it harm the XI Server ? I mean if the SP doesn't match

How do I know whether the Namepace is there or not in the tpz file before downloading it?

Any inputs guys

Harish Babu

My understanding is that the SRM content should align with your version of SRM rather than the version of SAP PI.

for example if you imported SRM CONTENT SERVER 7.01 and were running SRM 5.0 there would be problems.

Barry,

I am using SRM 7.0 in my landscape and I have downloaded the content that aligns with it. The XI content that I have downloaded is for SRM 7.0 and there is no contradiction there.

However, when I try to configure a scenario Supply_Base_Managemeent, I see that source DT, MT, MI etc which exist in the Namespace http://sap.com/xi/ABA is not there. I cannot do the ID part as there are objects missing in the ESR. The Namespace http://sap.com/xi/ABA itself is missing.

I was wondering how I could tackle this, thanks for your words

http://sap.com/xi/ABA is not supposed to be in the SRM (or CRM or various ERP) SWCVs. It is to be found in the SWCV SAP ABA 7.xx, where 7.xx needs to match the NW Release of your SRM system. If you have several systems at different NW Release levels, you need the SAP ABA SWCVs for all of them.

Best regards,

Monika.

Hi Harish

then import ABAP Content 7.0.

i am running PI 7.1 with ABAP Content 7.0 and 7.1 in the ESR as i am integrating ESourcing which requires 7.0.

the standard content runs alongside each other and are comaptible in SAP PI.

Monika, where they are integrated scenarios you need to ensure that they both match the source/target SAP system to stop this problem happening.

Monica,

I doubt that. I have Process Integration Scenario configured in ESR. I have the incomplete mapping done by sap. In that the above mentioned namespace, http://sap.com/xi/ABA, is described to be contained in the SWCV SRM SERVER 7.0. I mean when you click on the connection link between actions, it takes you a tab to the Assign Mapping, Assign Communication Template etc.

Either the Process Integration Scenario is broken (it wouldn't be the first one) or you misinterpret what it is trying to tell you. There is certainly http://sap.com/xi/ABA with messages / interfaces for business partner and products in the SRM system. But there is never http://sap.com/xi/ABA in the SAP SRM SERVER software component and its SWCVs. All namespaces in the SAP SRM SERVER software component begin with http://sap.com/xi/SRM or http://sap.com/xi/EBP. I am 100% certain of that. You have not installed your SWCV incorrectly, you need to install an additional SWCV, one for SAP ABA.

Barry,

Couple of questions. I navigated to the tab, XI CONTENT SRM SERVER 7.0 # Database Independent. Now under that, I see Downloads and see a list of objects. I see various contents for various Service Pack versions. The list has from SP00 to SP 10. But from my ESR, I found that my Service Pack is 11 and I am using PI 7.1

However since I don't see the one for Service Pack 11, I downloaded the content for the Service Pack 10. Is that OK ?

Secondly, when I downloaded the zip file and unzipped it, I saw two tpz files , named XI7_0_SRM_SERVER_IC_7.010_00 and XI7_1_SRM_SERVER_IC_7.0_10_00. Since I am using PI 7.1, I guess I need to import the second tpz file into the ESR. Is my assumption correct ?

I checked the namespaces and I saw only namespaces that starts with SRM or EBP. I guess you are correct. Can you please tell me how do I install this additional SWCV. What should I download from Marketplace to get that?

forget the level of the SRM content. it does not always tally with the exact patch level if there was no changes. just get the most recent SRM Content of 7.0

you also need to import the XI CONTENT SAP_ABA version 7.0 as the SRM Content references this.

you need to import both content as the idoc/bapis that are referenced in the mapping and done as part of the SRM Content are in this package.

and when you unpack the files, i always import the largest file.

I don't know the path, so I use the search, i.e.

Service Market Place -> Software Downloads -> Support Packages and Patches -> (in the menu on the left) Search for Support Packages and Patches -> search for XI Content SAP ABA. It brings up all kinds of XI content (also e.g. for CRM because it has ABAP in the name), but the one for SAP ABA is on the first page of the search results. When you click a pop-up opens with the SWCVs, choose 7.01 (or whatever NetWeaver release your SRM is, but I think SRM 7.0 is on NW 7.01).
