Inspection lot UOM required with Alternative Unit

User requirement Inspection lot to be generated with Alternative unit of measurement instead of base unit,

You can create an inspection plan with an alternate UOM in it and assign the material to it if the alternate UOM is defined in the material master.

Nothing special about it. Create the plan. Assign the material.

Thanks for the valuable answer,we know that it will come to CRTD but we dont want that it should assign the plan with respect to UOM of Workscheduling (Confirmation done for the material which as different UOM other then base UOM).Inspection plant should be assigned with confirmed material UOM instead of Base UOM.

Eg. Base Unit Meter(M) Material ocde - X confirmed with altenative UOM TON(TO).

So System should pick Inspection plan with TO instead of M.It should assign the plan automatically with system status REL CALC SPRQ.

Do one thing create two group counters for same plan, you can do this just by copying in QP01

Now assign same material to both counters keep unit of measurement in one counter TO and in other M.

I think now when lot will be created it will be released autmatically.

The standard system will never take the UOM of confirmation into consideration.

You will probably have to utilize the user exit to meet your requirement.

QPAP0002 - Enhancement for material/plan assignment, plan selection.

You can assign the material to multiple plans, (i..e one plan for each UOM that is expected to be used plus one in the BUOM).

Then use the exit to determine the UOM of confirmation and select the plan. All UOM's must still be defined in the material master.

Inspection lot will be created in Base unit of measure measurement only.
