HTTP Load Distribution Using SAP Message Server

Hi All,

I would like to know the advantage and disadvantages of using SAP Message server based load balance for the following scenarios.

- We are configuring External facing SAP portal url for internet users to access intranet based backend ABAP web dynpro based applications from ECC, CRM and SRM.

- We have configured CA Siteminder proxy and F5 load balance in-front of SAP portal.

My question is... can we use SAP Message server based load balance between SAP Portal and backend systems (contains multiple app server)? or go with siteminder proxy and F5 hardware based load balance infront of ECC, CRM and SRM same like sap portal?

Please share your thoughts on this.

SAP recommendation is use SAP Web Dispatcher to handle the HTTP/HTTPS Load balancing.
