SAP Webservice integration with External Security Token Service (WS-Trust)

Hi Gurus,

We are currently developing Web Services in SAP (EP 7.3, ECC 6.0 with EHP5 and CRM 7.0 with EHP1 ). These web services are meant to be consumed or invoked by external NON-SAP systems, hence all these web service requester / consumer need to be authenticated and authorized using standard security token, in our case, it is SAML 2.0 token type.

We are currently setting enterprise wide security token service (STS) based on OASIS WS-Trust 1.3 specification to manage all the typical token coversion, validation, authorization decision.

We want to know if these web services can leverage any out-of-box SAP (NetWeaver) feature to communicate with External Security Token Service (Oasis WS-Trust 1.3) for validation, exchange and generation of SAML2.0 tokens ?

Please provide any artifacts that can help us understand this integration.
