Import of modified/extended Idoc into XI repository

Dear all,

we have to import a modified/extended Idoc from R/3 into XI repository.

When I do that in the normal way, I get only the original Idoc structure without our additional segments.

The Idoc is SDPICK.SDPIID01 where we added additional segments.

Any help is very much appreciated.

Thanks and best regards,

Philipp

Phillip,

Make sure that the IDOC and all its segments are release in the R3 system. Use T Code We60 in your R3 to check the same.

In XI, instead of importing the standrad IDOC, look for your Custom IDOC , which you have extended and import the same.

Hi,

I checked in WE60, the Idoc-Enhancement is released.

But I cannot find it in the import list in XI repository. There is only the original one.

Thanks,

Phillip,

Clear the SLD data cache and then try.. and let us know if it works.

If it still doesnt, then try to log of from your IR and log in again.

Hi Philipp,

If the segments and idocs are released try reimporting the IDOC and see whether new fields are available in IR...

Hi,

As Bhavesh said clear the cache and do it again.

Hi,

I cleared SLD cache and imported again - same as before.

I guess the problem is in IDX2: here, I do not see this new imported Idoc.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Philipp

Phillip,

Delete the entry in IDX2 of the Old Idoc if it exists manually.

And then try to import this extended IDOC in both IR and IDX2.

Hi,

now I got the Idoc with the extension in IDX2, but after re-importing it into IR, it is still without extension.

Thanks,

Phillip,

Might sound stupid, but , check the R3 system details in the SWCV in your IR. Do they point to the correct R3 ystem which contains the extended IDOC?

Hi,

the system details are ok.

When I import the idoc in IR, the list only displays the standard (unextended) idocs. Do I have to look somewhere else in the list, maybe the extended idoc appears with a different name?

Thanks,

Philipp

Hi,

I updated the info in idx2: extension is there. Then I cleared SLD Cache and Cache for Softwarecomponents, then I reimported the idoc after deleting it from my softwarecomponentversion - still without extension.

Does anybody have any idea?

Thanks a lot,

Philipp

Phillip,

Do I have to look somewhere else in the list, maybe the extended idoc appears with a different name?

Have not worked with Extended , but they should / might come with different name , but , will be related with the standrad IDOC.

Hi,

Please check if the segments are released. Also do a Check if the IDOC is proper. Then try importing it once again in IDX1 and then in IR.

Thanks,

Prakash

Hi,

the Idoc is proper and already in use in the R/3 system for some time.

Why do I have to import it in idx1?

Thanks,

Philipp

I guess prakash was talking of importing the Idoc Metadata in IDX2. Though a step which is needed at a later stage, this has no relation to importing the IDOC in the IR.

Hi Philipp,

With IDX1(This port to be mentioned in CC for receiver IDCO adapter) u will create a port and will mention the RFC destination which points towards R/3..

With IDX2 u can Import the Idoc metadata... if by default not available import manually..

And to get the latest idoc which new segments have been added ... check whether the segments and idoc is released ..

Sridhar
