Extending WBS Length

Hello,

I know that standard SAP only allows the length of 24 char for the wbs element and the coding mask. Is there anyway to extend that to allow more char? This is a requirement for our implementation.

I would imagine that some other companies have had to deal with this and come up with a possible solution.

Hello Angela,

There is no standard solution in SAP to increase PRPS-POSID length to 24. This could only be done via modification and as the WBS element is widely used across other components should be very carefully considered.

Hi,

Its not possible to have more length on WBS Elements. In my project also, we wrote to SAP and they recomendened not to modify the length.

I think better to contact SAP and take their advise, as you need to change the standard settings.

I am not sure, infact i am not aware of any such way by which you could extend the length of the coding mask beyond 24 characters. Maybe an enhancement could do it for you. Lets wait for others to comment as well.
