Restriction of SAP ID

Dear All,

Can we restrict SAP User ID with any specific Machine Name (Computer-Name)?

We are using SAP ECC 5.0, Oracle 9i and Windows Server Enterprise 2003 with AD infrastructure.

Hi,

If I am getting your question right, that you want to restrict some SAP User ID, so that it can only login with a particular system. Then in that case, so far there is no mechanism. Though you can find out which machine is being used by a particular User ID at a time.

not possible with standard SAP.

maybe a user Exit would be possible on the logon screen. talk to your abapper.

This is not possible at SAP level as I believe.

This can be achieve in another way at some level if you are not using SAP user ID's on sharing basis.

There is a property in Active Directory User Account from where you can assign particular systems from which the user can log on to the domain. This way, you can restrict user login from particular system to access SAP system.

It will not work, if user use SAP GUI from already logged in system.
