replacement of viewer

Hi There,

we want to replace the existing standard Viewer in PLM Enviroment with right hemis 3d Viewer.

What are the steps for doing it?

I searched a little bit and found, that there is a IMG Activity "Define Viewer Installation"

but it needs Viewer ID, Viewer Name and URL.

Dear Beserithan,

from DMS point of view you can define different viewers for each workstation application in transaction DC30. Here you can define under 'Define Workstation Application in Network' which application should be started if you display, edit or print the files assigned to a specific workstation application.

From other sides like ArchiveLink functions there is a customizing in transaction OAG1. Here you can remove the 'ECL Control' flag for example to avoid that the embedded ECL Viewer is started. Without this flag external applications will be triggered.

The mentioned cusotmizing transaction is used for PLM Web Applications only.
