Hi all,
following scenario:
We get documents (files) via interface from an external archiving system (Docuware).
Those documents need to be linked to already existing document info records in SAP.
All necessary meta data are available, i.e. document number, type, version etc., the storage category
as well as the document id from the archiving system.
Is there any function module/BAPI/APi to create the link from the SAP info record to those
(already checked-in) documents?
It probably would be easy with ArchiveLink just adding the TOA0x entries, but the SAP DMS is working
with KPro which is not that easy to understand for me (with all those LOIOs and PHIOS ...).
Any idea would be appreciated!
Best regards
Wolfgang
Hello Christoph,
thank you very much for the quick reply!
We already considered to link the documents as URL, but found some restrictions
(e.g. 'Stamp-before-View'- and 'Stamp-before-Print', where documents get a stamp
on it which shows the status of the document info record, which doesn't work with the
URL-Links in our present environment).
But anyway, we have to take a deeper look in this ...
To follow the idea with the URL-Links
Do you know any BAPIs or APIs where the URL-Link can be set in batch mode?
(as I described in my first post the linking of the documents should happen via interface ...)
Thanks again and best regards
Wolfgang

Dear Wolfgang,
based on your description I think that linking these documents as URL to SAP document info records could be helpful. Therefore please see the information under
http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/PLM/LinkingURLpagestoDocuments.
Best regards,
Christoph
