Calibration Inspection based various factors

Hi All,

We have a requirement to decide whether the equipment is OK or NOT OK based on the following factors.

During the calibration of equipment the system should consider the following factors for Making a decision to usability of an equipment.

1. Dimension inspection based on samples

2. Room temperature at that particular point of time

3. Bias

4. Linearity.

Considering all the above factors for a particular equiment, the system should be able propose the decision for the usability of the equipment.

I'd like to know whether the above said features are supported by SAP QM Module - Test Equipment Management ?

I'm not sure why not. The items you meniton would just be set up as characterisitcs and a calibration lot created. Depending on how complicated your evalution of the equipment is based on those results woudl determine if you can do it or not. If any of those characteristics are rejected then the equipment fails then that could be pretty standard.

If however the evalution of a characteristic changes depending on say the room temperature, than the valuation could be very difficult to to automatically in SAP and would have to be done maually.
