Hello,
We are using SNP aggregated planning and we have different requirement on Safety stock Method for the detail location and for the aggregated location.
For the detailed location, we need MSDP_SB_METHOD set to SZ ( coverage in Days )
For the aggregated location, we need MSDP_SB_METHOD set to SB ( safety stock in quantity )
In there a technical constraint for SNP aggreting data ( 9ASNPAGGR / SNPAGGR(1) to have the same Safety Method at detailed level and aggregated level ?
I do not have seen it in the SAP help "Prerequisites for Aggregated Planning" but an expert told me to avoid it . We use only aggregation , not desaggregation in SNP. Maintaining SZ at detailed level and SB at aggregated level would simplify the solution.
Kind regards,
Christine Macaudière

Hello Ada,
Thanks for your reply but I allready looked to Note 858794 but this note explains that only static standard Methods for Safety Stock are considered in standard aggregated planning but that it is possible to customize planned safety stock method adding appropriate Keyfigures stored in time series for planned Safety Stock Method.( in fixed quantity or day of coverage) to use, for example, MB or MZ Planned safety Stock methods
Our case is different: on some product, we need :
At detailed level: static standard method SZ : static standard Method SZ (using Safety Stock maintained in days coverage)
At aggregated level ( aggregated location) : static standard Method SB (using Safety stock maintained in Quantity in the /SAPAPO/MAT1 dedicated view.
Kind regards,
Christine
