Universe for SAP BI query

Hi Expert,

My Client is going to implement SAP BO and wants to do all kind of reporting in SAP BO. Currently, they are using Bex/Web reporting in SAP BI.

SAP recommends to create Uinverse on SAP BEX query instead of infocube due to certain advantage.

So do we require to create one universe for each BEX query? What is the best approach?

Hi,

recommended approach is to create universe on SAP BW query because their are certain advantages on Query vs Cube.

You can create one generic query per cube and then create universe on top of query instead of universe on each query.

If you are used to working with universes against a relational source then I'm afraid that you should be prepared to be shocked by how little you can achieve in a universe based on a SAP BW source.
