Hi Experts,

We are sending external mail from SAP configured with the sender email account and read receipt settings. We are getting the read receipt in our outlook email account however the requirement is that we need to be able to get this information in SAP as well and store in a table with a flag saying the read receipt has been received for the particular item.

can you please throw some ideas whether it is achievable or not

Thanks,

Suresh

The "read receipt" is not a reliabe information because the mail receiver can just switch off that a read receipt is being sent.

In order to get the answer in the SAP system you have to configure a different email addresse in the SAP system than on the mail client to make sure that the relay server (Exchange) knows, whether a mail needs to be forwarded to the SAP system or not.

Hi Suresh,

There is a configuration on read-receipt. Could you please check if it serves your purpose.

Go to SCOT. From menu select Settings > Confirmation of Receipt , here you have option to enable or disable read receipt.

You can have a look in the below SDN link as well if it helps you:

Please let us know if it works for you.
