Language import after fresh installation of ERP ehp5

Former Member

Hi,

Just to be sure before starting the whole mess.....

I just installed a brand new ECC 6 with ehp5 directly from the CD.

I already imported several languages and now I need to re-apply the SP to get the language part with RSTLAN_IMPORT_OCS.

I need to download all the SP since the ECC 6.0 SP0 ?

With a ehp5, this means that I need to re-apply the 600 SP..... Is this right?

This is huge.

Regars,

Regis

Hello Régis,

no, you only need the EhP5 SPs, and only after installing the right language packages, which can be tricky, depending on the product you have installed.

To be on the safe side, please go through KBA #[1508122 |https://bosap-support.wdf.sap.corp/sap/support/notes/1508122](I'm the owner, you can report any doubt directly to me) to review the whole process of idenfying the right language to be installed, its supplementation and all post steps that need to be done.

I hope this information helps.

Best regards,

Hi,

Download support packages from: https://service.sap.com/swdc

But read this sap note first: 195442 - Language import and Support Packages

Please check and reply

Hi,

OK I think I did not wait long enougth after the end of the package import job.

What I did.

1) Start import

2) noticed the job with status "finished" and the language in SMLT was "green"

3) So I started special action -> import sup packages.

4) in the next screen all the SP were red except the last 10 or 20.

5) tried to deselect the red ones and It said "you can only deselect at the end of the list" (of course...)

6) seached the notes and forum and was not able to find what I did wrong.

That was a few hours ago.

Not I tried again and All the SP are green. Nothing to import.

So Is there some jobs (RDDIMP or somethink likre this) that has to run after lang import ?

Regards,

REgis

Hi,

No, you have to apply 605 version patches.

Thanks
