How to change smartform template from colored background to colored border

Former Member

Hi,

I have a Smartform with several templates with different background colors.

I need to change the template from having a colored background, to having just a colored border?

I am in the Template tab and the the background color is showing up, but I can seem to see where to change it to just a colored border.

Is that possible?

Thanks for your help!

Andy

Hi,

Inside table and templates you cannot provide the box/shading option for text.thats why you are getting a error that,'BOXES/SHADING NOT ALLOWED WITHIN THE TABLE'.

Try this.

1.click on your template TEMPLATE TAB.

2.select the column in which you want to have the coloured border in your line type.

3.you can find the BOX and SHADING option above your linetype.

4.Now use the BOX option to choose your colour.provide width as 15.00 TW.

5.The shading option is for colouring the entire column.

Hello,

Open smartform. go to Template (on left side through drill down)--> go to output options (on right side) --> Box and Shading --> Frames --> select the colour(in which you wants to make border). save and activate it and than execute it. The border colour would change. Repeates the same steps for the table and for another templats(if more than one template are there in smartform).

Thank you all for the replies.

When I try your suggestions and I click on the "lines with" checkbox, I get a message saying: "Boxes/Shadings are not allowed within a table".

Any ideas why I am getting tat message?

Thank you again,

Hi,

You can do at WINDOW level and not at TEMPLATE level.

So apply changes to window and dont give any FRAME PATTERNS for TEMPLATE.

I find the option in window -> output options tab -> box and shading section, for each window.
