Hi,
I am looking for a comparison between the difference data migration options that we have available from SAP for data migration from legacy systems...(the use of MDM, LSMW other SAP tools)...
Inputs/Suggestions/documents/Links are most welcome....
Thanks & Regards,
Renjith
hi,
far from comparing myself you can try using this book:
Migrating Your SAP Data
http://www.sap-press.com/product.cfm?account=&product=H972
maybe after reading it you'll be able to choose
the best method on your own

Hi Michael,
Thanks for the quick reply.
This is for a presentation that i have to do(i donot have much time on my hand) and i was kind of hoping on getting some inputs from the Gurus out there(like you)...
If you have any documents on this and is willing to share it with me, i would greatly appreciate that.
Thanks & Regards,
Renjith.
Hi Renjith,
In many places for the data migration/conversion/initial load, we are using LSMW or any other methods. For e.g Zprogram to upload the data.
I feel for the initial upload of data in the implementation project etc, it is prefer to use custom abap program or LSMW tool to upload huge amount of data.
You can use MDM, but if so, then you may be required to use XI for the upload..
Even i think Mercury scripts(recorded - like BDC) also can be used for this
Just few views from me.

Moorthy
