Database hostname change

Hi,

We are planning to change our Oracle(10.2.0.4)database hostname in SAP ECC 6.0 windows environment.

Kindly provide us which all places we need to do the customization for this change.

I checked 8307 note which is related R/3 hostname change, but we are changing Oracle hostname.

Hi Mav,

You should check entries under SAP profiles under /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/profile, registry entries if you are running under Windows environment, oracle profiles under /oracle/<DBSID>/<Version>/<Windows: database or UX: dbs>, oracle network profiles under /oracle/<DBSID>/<Version>/NETWORK/ADMIN

Hi,

Are your system distributed ? If yes, then you need to change hostname on SAP side as well like in RZ10 , db hostname.
