HI,
PurchORG:
- PORG1: Porg of country 1
- PORG2: Porg of country 1
and PurchGROUP
- PGRP1: Pgrp Office sup
- PGRP2: Pgrp IT
and then I want to be able to use all the following combinations:
PORG1-PGRP1
PORG1-PGRP2
PORG2-PGRP1
PORG2-PGRP2
Can someone pls explain me if I can assign 1 Pur grp under multiple Pur org in SRM 7.0 w/o getting the error message "Purchasing group &1 in system &2 already assigned to &3"
Thanks.
Hi,
A purchasing group can be assigned to only one Purchasing organization at a time. However, a purchasing group can do shopping for purchasing organizations other than the one it is assigned to. So, in a way, you can achieve the functionality you are looking for.
Here is how you can achieve the scenario:
Say, PGRP1 is assigned to PORG1 and PGRP2 is assigned to PORG2.
Now, if you want PGRP1 to do shopping or purchasing for PORG2, you need to assign the org unit of PORG2 in the responsibility tab of PGRP1. Now, PGRP1 can do shopping for the PORG2 in addition to PORG1.
You can do the same by assigning the PORG1 in the responsibility tab of PGRP2.
I gues, it should solve your predicament.
Thanks and regards,
Ranjan
