SUP Installation Error

Hi Experts ,

I had SUP 1.5.2 installed on my system .

I Uninstalled it .

Now i am trying to install sup 1.5.2 again on my system but it throws a following error :

*"The Installer detects an existing installation of Advantage Database Server and Sybase Messaging Server

Uninstall them before proceeding with Sybase Unwired Platform installation ."*

I have deleted the folder that remains after the uninstallation of SUP still getting this error .

According to me uninstall is done properly and i should be able to install again but unable to do it because of this error .

Please help !!

Hi

check in the registry . look for all sybase entries and delete them.

search for all sybase related files on your computer and delete them.

Hey thanks for the reply .

I tried deleting all the files from my system and removing anything related to sybase from registry as well .

Unfortunately none of them worked for me

I had to format my machine and then i could install again .

Though this is one of the solutions to my query , it is not a convenient one and not feasible every time .

So hope we get some solution on that .
