Hi Eoin

You will have to create a public part in the DC which you want to call from another one.

Include your Web dypro component in that public part. Also create a a separate window and include your required view in that window. In the interfaceview, create an outbound plug.

In your DC where u have to call this public part, include the first application's public part in the used DCs section.

Include it's view in the window of second DC and depending upon the action, u can call the plugs.

Thanks & regards,

To create a public part, just right-click on your component (under "Web Dynpro components") and select "Add to public parts"

Mikael I Can't add it to the public part via this way.

DO I need to make it a development component project?

Hi,

In ur component Expand the DC metadata u will see the public parts,

Right click it and select New public part. A pop-up window opens then click the first radio button next button then another window opens select the interface controller and then click finish.

Then use this component in other Component as used DC.

Yes, your project has to be a development component project.

If you allready have a project, you could create the new project and then just copy-paste the /src and /Model Folder catalouge. (Switch to the navigator view to do this).

Hi,

Dependent Components should be DC.

Check to convert Ordinary project to DC

Hi,

you could also use portal eventing if the search-wd is placed in a separate iview.

Check if this helps you in understanding the problem.
