Biller direct application is enable suppliers to view their invoice status

Dear experts,

My client wants their suppliers to see the status of invoice (paid/ not paid) to avoid unwarranted call from the supplier side enquiring about their invoices.

Is standard SRM SUS enough for that, or we need to go for additional component like biller direct. It is necessary to know as the project is facing bit of budget constraint.
