Backward scheduling activation

Hi Gurus,

We are using schduling agreement process.

If we activate the "Carry out backwards delivery scheduling only" in t-code OVLY, what could be the repercussions? specially on negative side as our business process needs backwards scheduling only.

Pls guide. Thanks.
