Files\sapinst_instdir\ERP\SYSTEM\ORA\CENTRAL\AS\keydb.xml. is corrupted

Hi,

During the ECC6 installation facing the issue with Unable to start a service execution sapinst not able to open keydb.xml file.Please help me to fix it..

I am using the option run from old parameter specfied in sapinst

Unable to start a service execution. Please check the following information for the possibble reason and inform the installation development : Running with dialog file C:\Program Files/sapinst_instdir/ERP/SYSTEM/ORA/CENTRAL/AS/dialog.xml Running with keydb file C:\Program Files/sapinst_instdir/ERP/SYSTEM/ORA/CENTRAL/AS/keydb.xml XML parser error: error: no DTD specified, can't validate in line 1, 1 in file C:\Program Files\sapinst_instdir\ERP\SYSTEM\ORA\CENTRAL\AS\keydb.xml. The execution will be terminated now.

Hi Avinash,

The probable cause for the Parser error is likely a corrupted xml or dtd file.

When restarting an installation, SAPinst copies the keydb.xml to keydb.1.xml and continues using keydb.xml. Next restart it copies the keydb.xml to keydb.2.xml and continures using keydb.xml. So in the keydb.*.xml with the highest number you can find the actual keydb.xml.Please delete the zero size keydb.xml and rename the file keydb.<n>.xml to keydb.xml. Make sure that it is read-writable.SAPinst will detect that there is an installation started, so SAPinst must allow to continue an old installation, Depends on the sapinst step failed, it will continue with the installation, at least from the last step failed will be repeated.
