Hello community,
we recently made a system copy of a NW 7.0 ABAP+Java instance on a new machine (new hostname, new IP address)
When we did the import, the system number was changed from the original 20 to 00 (proposed by sapinst as the default)
Now the instance starts correctly but the Java stack is not working. In particular, The SAP J2EE Engine Start Page opens, but NWA and UME don't start.
In the logs we see a lot of connection error to the old IP address and the old system number.
Did I miss something?
Regards,
Valerio
Hi,
It looks like you have used db restore method for system copy. For Java you need to export from source system and then import.
You can check in config tool if some properties has reference to old IP.
Thanks
Sunny

Hello again,
I solved my problem. In the logs we found some "out of memory" errors which were the reale cause of the problem.
We moved from 32 bit to 64 bit, so the memory parameters of Java stack needed to be revised. After that, the Java tools start without problems.
The connection errors towards old instance are related to the BI-Java configuration, which needs to be redone.
Thanks everybody,
Valerio
