Hello All,

We are setting up the NWDI CMS for the first time, when I'm using 3-Charecter domain name, a pop-up appeared and warned me to use 4 charecter

And referring to the below link what is the real time name that you guys are using?

is it starting wtih /DOMAINNAME/ or Just 4 charecter domain name?

If you want to use a four-character domain, you have the following options:

u25CF Use an existing prefix namespace in the format /<four-character Namespace>/ as the domain ID in the JAVA environment too.

u25CF Reserve a prefix namespace in the format /<four-character Domain ID>/ as described in Note 105132.

Please advice.

Thanks

SM

Hi,

if you want your software 'world-wide' unique, since you intend to ship it to other companies (as a basis of further developments of that company) then you need to reserve a 4 character domain at SAP.

Else I suggest you to use a 3 character domain. Usually this is the SID (system ID -- /usr/sap/<SID>) of your J2EE engine.

See for further details the link mentioned on that popup screen:

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Ervin
