Business Process Analytics not working

Former Member

Hi experts,

I have configured monitors under logical components.

I've configured it in BW, and I can see data in info cube.

However when I try to open BPAnalytics in Work Centers I'm getting an error:

-after choosing the time, I receive:

"No data in the selected timeframe available"

I've also spotted that I'm not seeing my solutionn's BP in Business Processes of Work Centers (I see them when using trx SOLUTION_MANAGER).

Thanks,

Pedro

Hi Pedro,

This may help you:

Firstly review following note that contains attached the BPA Setup guide:

1430754 Business Process Analytics: Setup guide

You can also find this document in following path:

www.service.sap.com/bpm -> Media Library -> Technical Information -> "Setup Guide - Business Process Analytics"

Besides checking the prerequisites and the notes referenced in the documentation, also implement following notes:

1550259 No data is transferred to Business Process Analytics

1498459 Incorrect decimal conversion in Business Process Analytics

In case you still get the "no data available", take a look in the troubleshooting section and ensure that is data in the cubes and the user has sufficient authorization.

Kind regards,

Fabricius

Hi,

I've already followed that guide.

Can you provide-me more information in the Roles that are needed:

. Is there any system-user that needs some authorization (roles)?

. Or is the user that is executing Business Process Analytics that needs some more roles? (It has SAP_ALL, all roles that I found relevant in the documentation)?

. Can you provide-me the list of needed roles?

Thanks a lot!

Hi Pedro,

You can see detailed information about the authorization roles in all areas of the solman in the security guide.

Check the session "6.4.11 End-User Roles for Business Process Operations" in it.

Path for the security guide:

-SAP Solution Manager

-Planning, Installation, Upgrade Guides

-4 Operations

-Security Guide SAP Solution Manager 7.0 EHP 1

Hi,

I've already had the required roles, nevertheless I've also added SAP_SETUP_DSWP_BPM and SAP_SV_SOLUTION_MANAGER_DISP, but it still gives me the same error:

No data in the selected timeframe available.

Do you know if there is some kind of connection to maintain exclusively for BPAnalytics?

Or is there any place to add the solution to be available to the Work Center for monitor and BPAnalytics?

Thanks,

Pedro

Hi Pedro,

please ensure that the role SAP_BI_E2E contains all the additional profiles as described on page 19 of the setup guide. This role needs to have access to the corresponding infocube. This role neds then to be assigned to the system user in the RFC connection BI_CLNT*. Only then the infocube data will be successfully read and displayed.

Hi,

I already have role SAP_BI_E2E with the required profiles.

I'm using BW from Solution Manager, so I do not have RFC connection BI_CLNT*.

Do you have more advices?

Thank you,

Pedro

Hi,

you could use the SolMan BW but still require the BI_CLNT* connection if the BW client differs from the SolMan client. So in your case BW client and SolMan client are identical?

Hi Volker,

that is it, I am not using other BW, I only have the one from Solution Manager.

Do you suspect something to be wrong?

Pedro

Hi Pedro,

I think it would be best if you opened a ticket on component SV-SMG-MON-BPM so that someone can logon to your system and directly look at the case.

Best Regards

Volker
