Free goods

HI,

If customer purchases 20 boxes of (finished goods), then he got 1 box free.

But these 20 boxes are different material type & so many sizes. So how can I configure it in SAP-SD?

Hi,

As Siva has said the standard procedure of creating free good items for the materialsis by the use of condition techniq.That free good can be either inline or explicitly displayed.

Inline:if you order 20boxes free of cost of 1box will be given..so in the order totally 21 items will be displayed without showing the free goods quantity explicitly..but if you go to the pricing conditions of the line item "NRAB" condition type will be displayed which shows 1box is free of cost..

But in your case it is better to manually enter the free item with the Item Category as TANN(specifies it as free goods item).Hence the price column will not consider the free good items.

Yes,i have change the item category,TAN to TANN.

But the price is calculated in invoice.

Hi,

In standard free goods functionality with automatic determination of free goods determination will be on material to material with specific quantity we can create condition record ,but in your case it is better to give free goods quantity at sales order line item level.To enable free goods concept at sales order line item level,in your item catagory determination at manula itemcategory field give your free goods itemcategory and save it.

create sales order with specific quantity and in second line item give the free goods item with quantity and press enter,by default system will take standers itemcategory TAN,here you need to change the freegoods itemcategory,so the specific item will not get charged.
