Running EHP4 NW 7.01 but want to upgrade only NW 7.02 is this possible

Since NW 7.02 has a lot of technical enhancements since NW 7.01, I was wondeing if I can only upgrade my NW layer from 7.01 to NW 7.02.

Since we are live the business sees no need to go to EHP5 for another 2 years.

But NW 7.02 gives us some key technical pieces that help us immediatetly.

Does SAP support upgrading only NW 7.01 to NW 7.02 without upgrading the application (business functions)?

Hi,

I do not think think would be possible. NW 7.01 is defined as the base for ERP EhP4.

If you try updating NW only to 7.02, there would be many dependencies on the business application components as well.

Furthermore, the EhP4 SP Stacks are defined based on NW 701, so there would be issue during maintanence as well.

This scenario is not supported. You cannot upgrade NW part leaving ERP components on old version.
