Hello Forum,
I was trying to call an RFC from a Webservice using dynpro and XI.Now when I wan posting the data, it's giving an exception,
Service call exception; nested exception is: java.net.UnknownHostException: xisys
where xisys is my XI system host name....
Can anybody please tell me what is the reason for this exception and how to solve this?

Hi
U can try one thing...
open the logical port of the model u hav created..
then in 'target address'the 'access' tab, give the ip address of the server instead of host name.
just try if it solves ur problem.

Hi,
Have you configured your logical ports?
@Mukesh,
Your suggestion might work when the j2ee engine is on the local server. But what if it is on a different server or the application is run on a different server? I doubt if this will still work.
