Hi,

i have created a syndication map.

The settings in the map are , Suppress unchanged records.

But when i change the records, i dont see files in the Outbound Port -Ready folder!!!

Do we need to arrange some spl permissions when a port is created??

I am using XML communication, am i missing something!!!

Note: Restarting MDS and MDSS did not solve the problem.

Please Help..

Kind Regards

Eva

Hi Eva,

Did you open the Syndication Map in Syndicator and check is any records are there ready to be syndicated in the destination preview.... if you see some records there then there is a problem is the syndication map working before?

You can get some information from the logs.. please let us know the information in the logs...

Did you change the password for the user which is used for synidcation in MDSS?

if the password is not changed also login to Auxillary servers and update the password again and see

Hi,

Thanks for the response.

1) I am not sure about MDSS passwords, I will ask Basis to look in to it.

2) Apart from This, the map was created and tested Just now.

and i dont see any files.

3) The Outbound port is - Automatic, Continues.

4) I have created couple of other maps for other interfaces but it didnot work, So i belive it not a problem of map.

Also in syndicator in preview i can see Xml Content.

5) what logs are you talking, Where can i see them?

Kind Regards

Hi

If you are testing now.. and if you do not see the records in the syndication map itself then i think there is a problem with map poperties not with MDSS no need of a password change and logs now...

Did you check the syndication map properties like

Suppress unchanged records

Supress Records without Key

Output Remote Systems

Let us know which properties you enabled in the map.....

HI Eva,

Do a simple test of syndicating file to your local system with the same settings using syndicator.

Change the remote system to MDM and you can do this test in other map.

It goes well that means something is missing in your map for the port as Sowseel pointed out.

If you have suppress records without key as set then check you have remote key for these records.

Also, get the MDS logs from basis.

Thanks,

Ravi

Hi Exprts,

1) In the syndication map i can see XML records in Preview, And i am able to manually syndicate it By pressing Syndicate Button.

The generated file In the desktop has valid content Init.

2) Map properties -

Suppress Unchanged Records Yes (Checked in Value Column , So Reset Colum is Unchecked)

Suppress Records Withoout Key NO (UNChecked in Value Column , So Reset Colum is Checked)

Remote System : Mainframe

REmote System Type - Mainframe - Inbound/Outbound

XSD is Loaded in XML Schemas in Repository.

Please help me in this!!!

Kind Regards

HI Eva,

let do it in parts :

1.In console make port as manual,so that sudden surge of data does not occur. After test you can change this revert to continous.

2.Create a record.

3.See if its nongrey and after selection of the same in syndicator through search, you get syndication preview.

4.If you can see then there is no problem, but if you dont take the 3 settings one by one:

Suppress unchanged record should be ok as you created new data

Suppress records without key set and reset both should be checked, and confirm that you have remote key to this data,Check for both cases.

Checking set and reset of these turn by turn will allow you to check all the cases and hence where is the missing link.

Thanks,

Ravi
