webdispatcher 7.3 to access Introscope webview

Hello all,

I have installed and configured SAP webdispatcher 7.3(7.2) to access BOE Apache Tomcat & SAP portals. This is working fine.

Now, I want to use webdispatcher to access introscope webiew, so i have configured in the same way required for non-sap application with the parameter:

wdisp/system_1 = SID=EXT,EXTSRV=http://xyz:8081,SRCSRV=abc1:80

abc1.domain.com is the external DNS alias and actual

solution manager introscope is running on host: xyz.domain.com.

Introscope webview login screen comes up fine and I am able to

login successfully, but when i try to access Investigator tree structure with in

Introscope webview, i get the following error:

HTTP ERROR: 500

Exception opening resource

http://abc1.domain.com/webview/liveHistoricalButtons.do?

method=doLiveHistoricalButtons&mode=explorer: java.net.SocketException:

Connection timed out:could be due to invalid address

RequestURI=/webview/jsp/explorer/view.jsp

I checked the webdispatcher trace & introscope log file i don't see any relevant errors at the default trace level.

I had opened OSS message, they have come back saying that this is consulting issue. Please let me know if anybody has made this to work successfully and solution to resolve this errror.

HI,

If you increase the web disaptcher to trace 3 and reproduce the error, are you able to see the error 500 in the content of the package?

This error seems to came from the backend and not in the web dispatcher. So, you should try to check the reason in the backend.
