Hello Attila,
The SAPgui does run on a 64-bit OS (as most applications do),but the interaction between 32-bit SAPGui and 64-bit Office
will not work on an Office Integration level.
From the note 1442028
With Office 2010 Microsoft for the first time publishes a 64bit version of the Microsoft Office package which can be used on 64bit operating systems running on 64bit hardware. In addition to this Microsoft ships a 32bit version of Office that can also be used on 64bit operating systems.
SAP GUI for Windows 7.20 and all related applications including SAP Desktop Office Integration / BI Frontend / BW Frontend do not support Office 2010 64bit, only 32bit versions of Office are supported.
This means that when using 64bit operating sytems with SAP GUI for Windows and related components you have to use a 32bit Microsoft Office version (which is equivalent to the situation before Office 2010 64bit was released).
I hope I have clarified the issue somewhat.
BR,
Jude
