iPAD 2 Error with BI 4.0 Sp2

Dear Experts,

I need urgent help regarding a requirement.

I have made necessary configurations in the server for accessing WEBI Reports through IPAD.

I just want to understand what we need to give in the "mobi.properties" file.

ipad.corporateCategory=Mobile, Category 1, Category 2... - do i have to make any changes here ?

Please advice .. the error message i am getting in IPAD is "Connection failed

There was a problem communicating with the web proxy server"

Thanks in advance

Kishan

I Don't think this is a categories problem. What connection parameters are you using?

I have not made any changes in the Mobi.properties file. It remains as it is after the MobiServer.war creation. Whatever default values are there - are left as it is.

Do i need to make the changes there ?

The connection parameters however are :

Server url : servername:8080

CMS Name: servername:6400

Authentication: Enterprise

i have tried various combinations actually. nothing seems to be working.

Tried this as well :

Server url : http://servername:8080/

CMS Name: servername:port

Authentication: Enterprise

Is it possible to add multiple categories into the mobi.properties file? If I add a second category it doesn't display on my iPad2.

Try sending accessing this URL from email on iPad. Make sure you update the server name.

sapbi://addconnection?name=ConnName&server_url=fullyqualifiedservername:8080&cms=fullyqualifiedcmsname:6400&authType=secEnterprise&default=yes&user=mobile&save_password=no

Make sure you are within your company network.

I had the same error with SPS 2 and was able to fix by going to SP 2.3 (SPS 2 Fix pack 3).

The error was actually from the Admin guy - They had not configured the DNS name for the Server URL.

after which the problem got resolved. Anyways, thanks to everyone who got a look into the question!
